Certification
A credential that means something because anyone can check it.
Five levels sit above the Life Readiness Score. Each one is issued from what was actually recorded over months, and each one has a public page that confirms it is real. Nothing here can be bought, crammed for, or awarded twice for the same week.
The ladder
Levels are cumulative and they take time by design. A child cannot reach the top of this in a term, because the thing being measured does not move that fast.
- 1ExplorerThe first weeks are recorded and a pattern is starting to show. This one marks that the family has genuinely begun, not that the child has arrived.
- 2BuilderBehaviours are appearing without prompting across more than one pillar, and holding up in ordinary situations.
- 3PractitionerReliable across most capabilities, including in situations the child has not met before.
- 4ContributorThe relational pillars are now visible too. The child is carrying a share of something larger than their own tasks.
- 5Life ReadyThe top of the scale. Ready for the responsibilities of adult life across every pillar, not only the ones that come easily.
The rules we hold ourselves to
Earned from evidence, never bought
A certificate is issued from the observations already recorded. There is no separate exam and no way to purchase a level.
Verifiable by anyone
Every certificate carries an unguessable credential id and its own verification page, so a school or an employer can confirm it is genuine without an account.
Only with your permission
Issuing certificates is a separate consent from running the programme. Withdraw it in Settings and we will not put your child's name on anything new.
First name only
A certificate carries a first name and the level. It does not carry a birth date, an address, a school or a photograph.
When certificates arrive
The certification ladder is designed and the record keeping behind it is built and running. The certificates themselves, and the public verification pages that go with them, arrive with the first cohort to reach a level.
Every observation you record counts towards it. Levels are worked out from the full observation history, so a family starting today arrives at the first certificates with months of evidence already behind them.
